Contact Trace

Contact Trace is a free mobile application that allows users to record location data of themselves on their phone and volunteer this data through an email account of their choice to facilitate contact tracing. The volunteered data is then pulled to an offline inference engine that helps the contact tracing team in identifying people of close proximity.

How it works
Contact Trace uses your mobile phone’s GPS to get location points once every 30 secs. To record your trail, enable your mobile phone’s GPS and start the tracking. At the end of the session, stop the tracking and a new location trail record will be created. Upon giving your consent, the location trail records generated by Contact Trace will be accessible by the contact tracing team.

- To establish and maintain your account
- To enable our algorithm to determine if location trail overlaps
- To notify you of one-time verification code and events of location overlaps

How Long We Keep Your Information?
We retain your information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, the legal or business purposes, or as required by relevant laws. The default retention period is 1 month.
